Gynna is an architect and an urban designer for development, and the lead videographer for Thinking Development. With an 'user-focused' approach, she has developed a strong background in web and graphic design, and gained wide experience working with participatory tools and designing communications platforms for development planning. These include participatory video, video facilitation, video production and post-production and online knowledge sharing.
She has international experience using video for documentation and development planning in India, Brazil, Haiti and Bosnia & Herzegovina. Her current research interests include: designing communications tools for enhanced development planning participation among disempowered communities, cartography, geoinformatics (GIS), and visual communication. Gynna coordinates the media activities at the Development Planning Unit UCL, as well as teaching masters classes in Media for Development.
