José di Girolamo - Chile

Thinking Development represents a great initiative that has been shaped not only by the work of volunteers but moreover by the communities and children affected by the earthquake in Haiti. That is precisely what has continuously strengthened it over time.

José di Girolamo is an architect and graduate of ‘Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile’. He has more than 6 years of work experience in various scales of design, from planning to social housing. He lead the Design Team in the south office of the NGO ‘Un Techo para Chile’, developing housing projects for slum-dwellers and temporary settlements for communities affected by the Chilean earthquake in 2010. He graduated from the ‘MSc Building and Urban Design in Development’ at UCL and after working in Foster and Partners he moved back to Chile to work in the Ministry of Housing and Urbanism.
